VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
at TEP Spring Training Games

Spring Training Games

Major League baseball comes to Kino Sports Complex every March. Volunteer opportunities are available to work the games. If you enjoy working outdoors with the public and are enthusiastic about volunteerism, Southern Arizona Sports Foundation has a spot for you.

Requirements

Volunteer positions require standing for at least six hours and navigating up and down stairs. Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of ten games. Training is provided to prepare volunteers for their responsibilities. Volunteers attend a training session and a stadium tour

Rewards

All volunteers recieve:

  • Work gear (2 polo shirts and straw hat)

  • Meal ticket (work days only)

  • 2 tickets for any Kino Sports Complex spring training games on the days you are not working as a volunteer.

  • 2 tickets for any Diamondbacks game scheduled at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ.

  • Recognition luncheon that includes a meal, recognition for your hard work and opportunities to collect D-backs and White Sox paraphernalia.

Through a joint partnership between Kino Sports Complex and the Major League Baseball teams who play at Tucson Electric Park the Southern Arizona Sports Foundation was formed. This organization provides volunteer staffing during Spring Training baseball games. In turn the organization receives revenues from gross ticket sales. Southern Arizona Sports Foundation then distributes the funds (over $140,000) by making grants to at-risk youth programs and non-profit organizations serving youth in Pima County.
