About Kino Sports Complex
In 1991, the Pima County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution to create the Pima County Stadium District. The stadium is a tax-levying, public improvement district and political taxing subdivision of the state of Arizona whose purpose is to protect the interests of this publicly owned facility called Kino Sports Complex. The Stadium District, better known as Kino Sports Complex, is a multipurpose venue that includes the stadium and 12 additional ball fields, clubhouses, and other amenities on a 155 acre complex. The showcase (Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium) is an 11,000-seat baseball stadium built for major league baseball. The Stadium District, in conjunction with Pima County Government, maintains the fiscal resources of the entire complex including facilities, grounds, personnel and the various services provided at the venue
Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium
With a beautiful view of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains, Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium is the perfect setting for baseball. Its close-to-the-action, intimate atmosphere makes the park one of the finest facilities (the largest in Pima County) around and has drawn universal praise from the media, dubbing it "the jewel of the desert".
The ballpark seats over 11,000 guests, with 8,000 seating, plus 3,000 family-style, lawn seats. It has a symmetrical playing surface, measuring 340 feet down each foul line and 405 feet to straightaway center field.
